Top 6 favorite films of Studio Ghibli
When you are interested in anime or going to enter the world of anime, you can’t leave Studio Ghibli out of your checklist. It’s more like a ritual to see the Studio Ghibli movie. The creator of studio Ghibli’s characters, stories; is Hayao Miyazaki, who has done a wonderful job in implementing these things.
Ghibli movies are more than a cartoon thing, the characters and the story makes you happy, sad, lets you to feel the warmth, make you cry your heart out, make you think deep and so on. It’s more like a package of emotions. We get to see many things that we miss noticing in our regular life.

- Spirited Away (2001)
Just like the title itself, the movie deals with different types of spirits, God, and other creatures that are mentioned in old Japanese tales. The story is about a girl, Chihiro, who enters the spirit world because of her parents, and works under a witch, who runs a bathhouse for spirits, to rescue her parents.
They have each emotion in detailed forms and it’s very realistic. I think you gotta watch it twice to get all the things in place. To know more about the story you can watch-Spirited away
2. Kiki’s delivery service (1989)
Kiki’s delivery service is about a small witch girl, who decides to live by herself in a new place, and starts her journey as a delivery girl in the city. It’s more like a motivation kinda story for people who wanted to be independent and how to learn and improve themselves. And this story has lots of inspiring characters.
3. My neighbor Totoro (1988)
This movie is more like a treat to the eyes and a present for the childish part in our hearts. This is more than a fantasy, it’s about two sisters who get to experience something special in their new home place. It is tough to decide the main character, between the sisters and Totoro. Totoro is a forest spirit, and I promise you won’t find an adorable spirit like them. This is more like a clam and chillin’ movie.
4. Whisper of the heart (1995)
Whisper of the heart movie is a must when you need inspiration. Aside from the main character’s passion, hardworking; this story drags us into it with its side stories like the antique shop’s owner’s love story, the love story inside the wall-clock, etc, and the girl’s crazy encounters, and I loved her character itself. Finding your passion, working for it, a person who supports, all- were given beautifully.
5. Howl’s moving castle (2004)
In another mad fantasy movie, I think Howl is the most handsome man comparing all leads in studio Ghibli movies, and he is a wizard. This movie too has some crazy and unexpected characters. This story is about a girl with a curse and her journey to find reverse magic. It’s a fun watch movie with deep emotions and unexpected connections.
6. From up on poppy hill (2011)
From up on the poppy hill, is about a high school girl and her life who lives in more like a boarding house and the things she does, experiences and finding truths after encountering the male lead. This story shows the energy and colors of youth itself.
